Scope of Work
APMSGroup was contracted to complete a large package of Rubber lined process pipe spooling for the Christmas Creek mine iron ore processing plant. Included in our scope of work was to fabricate, rubber line, paint and package for delivery to site
Project Resourcing
- Workshop personnel included Coded Welders and Boilermakers
- The support team included Project Management, Quality Management, Project Engineering and Project Supervisor
Project Achievements
- Approx. 2400 man-hours completed in the workshop with zero recordable incidents or accidents
- Project delivered on time and on budget
- Zero failure rate on welding
- Complete conformance to AS4041
- Spooling was manufactured to a specific schedule which prioritised line numbers and spools to ensure smooth transition to site installation
- One stop shop for fabrication, rubber lining, surface treatment and packaging
Activities
- Project and quality subcontract management
- Extensive interaction with our client to ensure design was in line with practical requirements
- Workshop fabrication
- Specialised coded welding and pipe fitting
- Various methods of welding the pipe spooling was performed for the project including: GTAW and FCAW processes
- Spool traceability
- Coordination of multiple subcontractors including non-destructive testing (NDT), rubber lining and surface treatment
- Liaise with the client to ensure Manufacturers Data Report (MDR) contained the information required for future reference including as built information and drawing updates
